I was told my daughter wouldn't breastfeed right when I started to try and began pumping from the beginning. My daughter has Down syndrome and it is common to have difficulties with breastfeeding, and feeding in general. After 10 weeks of exclusively pumping every 2-2.5 hours (yes exhausting!) she successfully latched and we haven't looked back since. She is now 2.5 and we are still going strong. I have donated over 4000 ounces of breastmilk and still had some left over, that she would never drink. She likes it straight from the tap :) so I have been struggling with what to do with all of my extra frozen breastmilk. I just recently found your page from @modernmilk and I was instantly interested. I am so excited to have something to do with my milk and now will be able to give it to my daughter long term. I most likely will be saving it for when she gets sick, but I am so happy to know I will have it for a while, with the nutritional benefits still there!
